Political drama continues in Puducherry. Tensions between Chief Minister V Narayanasamy and Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi are steadily increasing. Meanwhile, Governor Kiran Bedi has clarified her position by tweeting. Kiran Bedi has said that she had received a letter on 7 February on 36 issues, which she received on 8 February. Nowhere was it written in this letter that if the reply was not given till the 13th, the Chief Minister would sit on the dharna. Kiran Bedi says that she had to go out by 20 February for some work and was told to meet Chief Minister V Narayanasamy about this at 10 pm on 21 February. So that all the issues can be discussed. Despite this, its Chief Minister started a sit-in and is still on strike. He alleged that the Chief Minister is not letting people wear helmets.

CM and LG controversy: Chief Minister protesting sleeping outside Kiran Bedi’s houseHere, Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy has refused to end the picket. Even on Wednesday last night, the Chief Minister slept with his ministers outside Raj Niwas. The Chief Minister of Puducherry demands that the Lt. Governor approve 39 government proposals, including the scheme of free rice distribution. MLAs of Congress and DMK are also involved in the protest outside Raj Niwas. Raj Niwas is the official office cum residence of the Lieutenant Governor.

It is alleged that the files sent for their approval on various matters were rejected by the Lieutenant Governor. In protest against his negative attitude, the Chief Minister and his colleague have sat on a dharna on the road outside the Raj Niwas in Kali Kameez. The Chief Minister said that the government proposals for the upliftment of the poor and the needy are constantly being rejected and they strongly oppose it. Narayanasamy said that without spreading awareness, Kiran Bedi has made it mandatory for people to wear helmets in their recent decision, which “clearly appears to be a matter of their arbitrariness and harassment of people”. The state government had earlier proposed to spread awareness in this regard. He alleged that 39 government proposals were sent to him in the last few weeks for the approval of the Lieutenant Governor, but he did not approve these proposals.

Let me tell you that due to the protest, Kiran Bedi is not able to get out of the Rajivas. He has also written a letter to CM Narayanasamy about this. Which he has also shared on Twitter. He has said in the letter that you should have met instead of sitting on the dharna. You would write a letter and wait for my reply before the blockade of Rajnivas. The general public is suffering a lot of inconvenience due to this blockade.
