Frontline workers have been consistently working through the ongoing pandemic, and a source of wholesome meals while in isolation or otherwise is a relief. Finding a way to supply these meals to those who are quarainting in centres across the country, Marriott International through their delivery programme Marriott Bonvoy on Wheels, will be delivering over 15,000 vegetarian meals to more than 20 centres across Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi.
This initiative will take place on 31 May and 1 June in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and New Delhi and from 2 June- 6 June in Pune and Goa. Cooked meals will be prepared at hotels including St. Regis and Westin in Mumbai, JW Marriott in New Delhi, JW Marriott in Kolkata, The Ritz-Carlton in Bengaluru, Westin in Pune, and Westin and Marriott in Goa.
The compact, ready-to-eat, vegetarian meals will include fresh and healthy vegetable curries like soya keema mattar, lahsooni makkai palak, aloo gobi adraki sabzi, khatta meetha kaddu and fried onion pulao , rotis and desserts like brownies or sheera to go on the side. These meals are available in COVID care centres and hospitals across the six states, for either lunch, dinner or both.
