While cracking open a cold beer may have been your Sunday activity of choice during the summer, as the monsoon makes its way in, you might be wishing for a change in your routine. Ciders are a great option if you enjoy craft beers but are looking for some sweetness and fruity flavours. While beers are made from malted barley, ciders are made from fermented apple juice and tend to have less carbonation. Ciders are largely known to be a product of the United Kingdom and Ireland, but there are several homegrown brands that are experimenting with uniquely crafted ciders for the Indian market. For World Cider Day, here are some Indian ciders that you can add to your pantry.

7 Indian ciders to add to your pantry

Thirsty Fox

Based in Mumbai, this cider brand is named after sneaky foxes, known to be notorious among orchard owners for finding and feasting on the best apples. Inspired by these furry animals, Thirsty Fox uses only the best single-origin apples from Washington State and Oregon for their unique brews. Thirsty Fox Izzy is a golden cider flavoured with orange blossom honey and Thirsty Fox Reed is a ruby-red cider flavoured with cherries and peppercorns. The drinks are fermented in small batches, with custom-made botanicals and their special champagne yeast to provide a signature kick. If that wasn’t enough, both their ciders are also completely gluten-free!
Thirsty Fox is currently accepting orders here for Mumbai and Pune. From Rs300

Siqera
