A forerunner in responsible and sustainable luxury travel, ITC Hotels was one of the first to launch a comprehensive health and safety programme designed to ensure that the health of guests and staff is of utmost importance.

The WeAssure programme is a calibrated initiative designed in collaboration with medical professionals and disinfection experts. It includes stringent protocols to further enhance the existing safety and hygiene measures set in place. In fact, ITC Hotels says they are the first hotel chain in the world to receive Platinum level certification under DNV’s My Care Infection risk management programme for their ‘WeAssure’ hygiene protocol. DNV is one of the world’s leading certification bodies that helps organisations manage risk and assure business performance. Its proprietary infection and emerging pathogen risk-prevention framework has reviewed and helped in further upgrading ITC Hotels award-winning hygiene and safety programme. The result is an elevated health, hygiene, and safety stand for the well-being of guests and associates, that will constantly evolve to meet national and international regulations as well as industry-best practices.

Here are the highlights of the initiative:

All guests and staff undergo mandatory thermal checks. Face masks are readily available on request.

All hotel cars are sanitized before and after use and all guest experiences have been remodelled to ensure minimal contact.

The hotel layouts have also been readjusted to support safe distancing. Each hotel uses only state-of-the-art disinfectant including UV sanitisation, ozonisers and misting machines.

When it comes to dining, guests will be provided with sanitised, sealed cutlery and crockery and will be able to use digital ordering and e-payment solutions. Plus, guests can choose to order takeaways from their favourite ITC restaurants.

Once guests are checked in, guests will have assured door seals to ensure zero access after a stringent deep cleaning has been done.

From the charm of ITC Maurya with its range of delectable dining options to the splendid ITC Maratha in Mumbai, you can pamper yourself with a dose of luxury without worrying about any safety concerns.
