Luann de Lesseps and Dorinda Medley of The Real Housewives of New York City were often caught in turmoil, and fans think they had some good clashes. So while de Lesseps tries to be cool for the new season, fans really just wish the network would bring back the blonde.
Luann de Lesseps has been a show staple since the beginning, and she finally was given the privilege of holding the center apple. The Countess has been an integral part of RHONY, but she has had a love/hate relationship with fans. When she was first introduced, she came off very pompous, and fans could just not relate. But after her divorce, she was humanized only to turn back toward her selfish ways when she started her cabaret shows.

Season 13 has just gotten underway, and Bravo fans are already missing the antics and one-liners of Medley. She is done making it nice, and there will be no more Blue Stone Manor trips, but de Lesseps revealed she is rather happy the fan-favorite is long gone since she brought “negativity.” The 55-year-old told Us Weekly that her friend firing was just the way it “panned out.” According to de Lesseps, the show has changed, and the season is “less angry” after the departure of Medley.
The two women have had their issues, and Medley told her friend during the 2019 reunion, “You treated me like an animal, and you broke my heart.” The two housewives had an epic falling-out throughout season 10. It all came to blows when de Lesseps refused to extend a cabaret show invitation to Medley’s boyfriend. In turn, Medley heckled her performance by yelling out “Jovani.” The fight continued the following season when Medley told de Lesseps she should pay Sonja Morgan more for appearing in her singing show. But what started their long-time feud seemed to be the season 10 girls trip to Columbia, where both because college girls wasted and called one another drunks. After that, there was no coming back from the truth serum.
While fans may disagree with de Lesseps’ opinion, Medley is still not coming back to show. Fans will have to learn to like Ramona Singer and hope Morgan stays put. As for de Lesseps, fans could take her or leave. She doesn’t usually add much, and this season, she is clinging on to Singer for a storyline. So while money can’t buy you class, she still broke girl code in many viewers’ minds by talking badly about Medley’s departure.
