Fans of the tropics and 90 Day Fiancé have reason to rejoice because TLC is about to release a new tropical-themed spin-off with all-new couples, and it’s coming to Discovery+ soon. When the streaming service first launched, fans were upset by the missing 90 Day Fiancé franchise shows, but now viewers are getting a flood of franchise spin-offs. The next offering from TLC gives fans romance with a side of sun and surf, and it’s sure to be a hit.
At its initial launch, Discovery+ was somewhat of a disappointment for fans. For one, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise’s flagship series wasn’t included except for a 24/7 channel streaming random episodes of 90 Day Fiancé. But now TLC has moved all of the franchise content to Discovery+, and the TLC president has promised more 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs in the near future as well. The franchise’s most recent spin-off, 90 Day: The Single Life, has been well-received, and anticipation is high for the other new shows too.

In addition to the other new spin-off, 90 Day: Foody Call, TLC will also be debuting 90 Day: Caribbean Love on Discovery+. The network said (as reported by Variety), “The tropics will provide the backdrop for relationships in various phases—from a couple who met online but will now meet for the first time, holiday flings that turned serious and even a one-night stand that turned into a pregnancy. Will meeting in paradise work out once the suntan fades?” The new series is set to debut on July 18.
Not all fans have been on board with the 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs, especially the ones exclusive to Discovery+. However, the tropical twist to 90 Day: Caribbean Love might be enough to get viewers interested. The show will feature the romantic journeys 90 Day Fiancé fans have grown to expect but this time with a beachy backdrop. The new location-centric spin-off sounds like a great summer show to satisfy 90 Day Fiancé fans between seasons.
The 90 Day Fiancé franchise portfolio continues to grow, and the network is getting more adventurous with the premises. Some of the initial franchise spin-offs were closely connected to the original series, but recent spin-offs have been venturing out beyond the K1 visa process, and it’s been working well so far. Lately, fans have complained about seeing the same people over and over on the franchise, so maybe a fresh spin-off with new stars is just what the franchise needs.
