Jinger Duggar of 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On is opening up about her older brother Josh Duggar’s sordid past in her new tell-all book. The large family has been relatively silent, but some of the older girls have made their opinions known. Fans are happy that they are speaking out against their brother.
As many fans know by now, Josh was arrested on April 29 and pleaded not guilty to two charges of child pornography and awaits trial in July. However, back in May 2015, Josh was forced to apologize for an incident that took place in 2006 after a police report revealed he had been investigated as a teen for inappropriately touching five underage girls. Two of his sisters, Jill and Jessa, stepped forward as two of the victims. The papers showed he had touched their breasts and genitalia while they were sleeping.

TLC fans have been waiting for a tell-all book to come out about the family, and Jinger Duggar Vuolo was the first one to do it. But, she isn’t holding back in her new book, “The Hope We Hold,” which she also co-wrote with her husband, Jeremy. The reality star revealed to Today that in 2015 when Josh’s first scandal broke, the family actually fled Arkansas in the middle of the night.
There is a whole chapter dedicated to her childhood, and she retells the allegations against her brother, saying she was not prepared for the media onslaught. The TLC personality wrote, “One of my siblings had made some sinful choices, but it had all been years ago. It had been awful, but we had dealt with it as a family.” Fans are aware that the family handled the situation privately and sent Josh off to a faith healing camp to cure him. Many viewers feel like Josh never received the correct treatment or counseling.
Jinger is not the only family member to speak out. Joy-Anna, Jessa, and Jill have also released a statement expressing their heartache. The rest of the family has remained mum as Jim Bob was able to warn his children of what was coming the morning of the arrest. Josh’s wife, Anna Duggar, seems to be siding with him and feels he is innocent of all charges, and she has stopped talking to the rest of the family. The 19 Kids and Counting star’s court date is set for July, and if the charges hold up, he could be living behind a cell door for 20 years.
