Shashidhar Reddy sent a 17-page representation to the Election Commission (EC) seeking action against the chief electoral officer for alleged violation of Section 13 CC of the Representation of People Act 1950, and Rule 5 of the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules 1964.
“Bhanwarlal has behaved like a protagonist of TRS and its president and CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and attacked other political parties in a loquacious manner and thereby, violated all norms of civil service. The shocking and candid interviews to various TV channels and in public domain show that the Election Commission of India is amenable to all sorts of influences,” he alleged.
Shashidhar Reddy said that if Bhanwarlal continued in the same position and went unpunished for all his omissions and commissions, people would lose confidence in democracy and also in the EC.
