WARANGAL: Sana, the fourth accused in the case relating to Sarika and her three children’s deaths, has been taken into police custody. Sources in the police here said that she was being questioned about her relationship with former Congress MP Siricilla Rajaiah’s son Anil Kumar. Sarika was married to Anil Kumar and died in a blaze along with her children on November 4 under mysterious circumstances.

The other accused in the case are Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi and Anil Kumar.

Though the police earlier said that Sana was held in Hyderabad, the reports turned out to be incorrect. She was taken into custody from Uppal area in Hyderabad after an eight-member team of police officials headed by Hanamkonda ACP Shobhan Kumar located her in Khammam late on Saturday night.

The police sources said Sana was first tracked to Nalgonda and from there to Khammam where she was nabbed. Sana is considered an important link in the Sarika case as she was in an illicit relationship with Anil Kumar. Sana is expected to be produced before a court on Monday.
