CHENNAI: Travelling became a hassle for several commuters in Chennai after heavy rain disrupted train services on the Tambaram Beach suburban line on Monday morning.

Tracks were submerged in water in some places between Tambaram and Pallavaram stations, forcing the railways to suspend services between the stations at 7am. Trains were operated between Pallavaram and Beach.

Trains were also delayed after a tree fell on tracks near Park railway station on the same route around 9am.

Incoming express trains were delayed by almost two hours.
