THANE: Builders and contractors here have aggressively taken on the political establishment with a fresh salvo at NCP’s Milind Patil and Congress’s Narayan Pawar.

The troubled businessmen are no longer hesitating from speaking their minds about the alleged undue harassment and excessive bribe pay-outs demanded by political cartels here, especially after police action and media glare in the alleged suicide case of builder Suraj Parmar last month.

Pawar, a Congress corporator from Chandanwadi, has been accused by builder RG Pataskar of selectively delaying his project misusing his connections with the bureacuracy in the TMC.The builder has shot letters to CM Devendra Fadnavis, civic commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal and the Thane police chief Parambir Singh .

Meanwhile, a hoarding contractor has levelled allegations of harassment by NCP corporator from Kalwa, Milind Patil. The corporator has, in turn, claimed he is being threatened by the contractor to implicate him in an abetment to suicide case.
